UPDATE: 19 Aug 2015: The coroner announced that they will be holding a coronial inquest in to the murder of Brenda, this is good news.
On the 8th July 2011, Brenda Goudge was murdered in her home in Wantirna South, Melbourne. The 61-year-old was attacked as she slept in bed and then her body was taken from the home and dumped in her swimming pool in the backyard.
Her daughter made the horrifying discovery. But four years later, the nightmare for the family is far from over.
The family need a coronial inquest held so a suspect — who is a former police officer — can be questioned. They also hopes an inquest could unearth new evidence that would allow police to make an arrest.
Your actions in three ways can help this family find closure and the person responsible to be brought to justice. As much as it pains me to say this, imagine if this were your mother, grandmother, sister, wife or daughter – Brenda was just an everyday citizen like you and I whose life was taken by the actions of one person who felt it was their right to be able to take her life away. You have the power to help bring justice for Brenda Goudge.
