Ipswich Buses
July 29th, 2005 by RoseIt’s so nice to know Ipswich Buses drivers have our safety first… (not!)
When I told the driver of the bus on the way home that there was a lot of clunking noises coming from under the wheel arch up the back (it *really* didn’t sound good – in fact I wondered if there was anything much still holding those wheels on!); her reply was “Oh well, I’ll worry about that when it breaks down”.
Mmm…
Might as well be on Mars
July 28th, 2005 by Rose
The city streets are wet with rain tonight
Taxi drivers swerve from lane to lane
A lonely guitar man playin’ down the hall
Midnight blues comin’ through the walls
I tried to call you on the telephone
I left it off the hook
Just to hear it ring
You told me you were better off alone
I never knew that tears could stain
I’m on the roof and I’m starin’ at the stars
Lookin’ down at all the cars
I can see you
In the window of your favorite corner bar
But to reach you is just too far
And I might as well be on mars
The city seems so old and grey and beat
It closes in and makes me wanna suffocate
And you just live across the street
But that’s a billion miles away
You’ve turned my world into a dark and lonely place
Like a planet lost in space, my light is fadin’
I’d cross the universe to be right where you are
But I’m right in your backyard
And I might as well be on mars
Chorus
I might as well be on mars
You can’t see me
I might as well be the man on the moon
You can’t hear me
Oh, can you feel me so close
And yet so far
Baby, I might as well be on mars
Baby, I can’t fly
If I could I’d come down to ya
Maybe I should try
I’m on the roof and I’m starin’ at the stars
Lookin’ down at all lthe cars
I can see you
In the window of your favorite corner bar
But to reach is just too far
And I might as well be on mars

July 27th, 2005 by RoseToday I’m blissfully unaware
Flying over empty spaces of time
I am no where
No thoughts to goad me
No pressure to constrict me
Blissfully unaware, and free to be
Nothing
English misery
July 27th, 2005 by RoseThe weather has been really piss poor over the past month or so, supposedly summer you wouldn’t know it to look around. Today is miserable grey skies and rain. No wonder people are so cranky here, I’m not kidding, the scene is miserable.
Apparently is a nice and warm high 20’s in Spain *grin* Oh how I am looking forward to the hot sun!! Tanya was on msn the other day and says she is having a good time. Only 5 more days till I fly out!
Gonna miss my Stevie wonder boi, but I’m looking forward to being with my friend again and talking Aussie lol
Ben Law
July 20th, 2005 by RoseI watched an episode of Grand Designs this afternoon and came across this awesome guy called Ben Law who built a house from natural resources in an Essex woodland. It cost him about £28,000 from memory. To watch it evolve was awesome. I love natural wood and wooden houses, the finished result is just beautiful, inside and out.
It’s amusing that in Australia, to live in a forest area is quite normal – whereas here, they actually don’t allow it. Ben had to gain special permission from the council which wasn’t easy by the sounds of it. The whole house is self suffient also, something more people should be getting into!
I guess it just goes to show you if you have a dream, no matter how wild or difficult others might think it – if you give you can succeed!!
Go have a look at his beautiful home.

July 19th, 2005 by Rosewww.rose.id.au has had a facelift.
I like it, looks different. Different is good. Change is good and it’s coming my way. And on that note, I’m going home!
:D
PS: I think snaily/sluggy whatever the hell that thing was is gone now. Haven’t seen any tracks in days. Phew!
